Standard white pull cord switch used in bathrooms (usually i way) and over beds (usually 2 way). The switch mechanism inside the existing switch often goes, and this is a standard replacement - screw holes being in standard positions, so no new screw holes are needed.
For 1 way switches, use terminals marked 'C' and 'L1' only - leave L2 unconnected.
The pull cord can be easily cut to the desired length (it will probably be too long).
